Synetic Studio:

Active Imaginations, Active Bodies!

Synetic Theater is about creating active imaginations, active bodies, active kids! Using our signature style of Physical Theater, Synetic uses gymnastics, dance, mime, acting and storytelling to create athletic creative kids.

3 Ways Synetic Trains Active Kids:

1. Watch the shows.
Let’s face it, when adults do something it’s cool, but when kids see other kids doing amazing feats up on stage it’s exciting to watch and they want to be up there themselves. Synetic Teen Program (Ages 10-18) offers active, energetic, creative performances perfect for all ages that your children will love! Check them out!

Stay tuned for exciting announcements about the Synetic Teen Season 2012-2013!

2. Learn the skills.
After they’ve watched the shows, it’s time to learn the skills. Great actors aren’t born overnight. It takes a lot of energy, passion, sweat and fun to work as hard as we do and we’ll show you how. By taking classes at Synetic Studio kids can learn the basics of gymnastics, dance, mime, acting, visual arts and storytelling and learn how to apply them up on stage.

3. Perform!
After they’ve seen the shows and learned the skills, it’s time to head up on stage! During school breaks Synetic kids take part in fully staged, professional quality productions that involve music, dance, mime, acting and visual arts that are sure to amaze even the toughest of critics.

Synetic Studio Spring 2012 Classes will focus on the exciting adventures of Medieval folklore. Daring Knights, Stranded Princess, an Ogre in disguise, this Spring is sure to be a lot of fun.

Theater students will learn about gymnastics as they prepare for battles with waring kingdoms, they’ll learn dance techniques as they grapple with the behavior of royal families, they’ll learn about mime when they negotiate with the non-English speaking fairies. Incorporating skill-building into the context of the theme let’s kids not even realize how much they’re learning as they have fun exploring these unknown kingdoms.

Art Students will truly explore the innermost segments of their imagination as they paint, sculpt, draw and create the world of their Medieval kingdom. Learning skills in genre, texture, color, perspective and contrast Synetic Art Students will be given the tools to truly let their imaginations roam free within the world of Medieval folklore.
